Who is who

Fr. Stephen Myers

MA, BSc(Hons), BA(Hons), P.G.C.E. Episcopal Vicar for Education
Fr. Stephen grew up in Basildon attending St. Teresa’s Primary school and St. Anselm’s secondary school (now De La Salle). After school he studied at the University of East Anglia followed by a year at Cambridge University to do his PGCE. When he was accepted by the Diocese to train for the priesthood he was sent to Ushaw College near Durham. He was ordained on the 5th June 1993 by Bishop Thomas McMahon. After some time in Grays as the assistant priest he was made Youth Director for the diocese and in time moved to become priest in charge at Clayhall parish. When he stood down from his youth role he was sent to Holy Family in Dagenham. In recent years he has been appointed as the Episcopal Vicar for Education.
